Constitution

Within the NEAT scheme of delegation we have agreed that the local governing committee of the religious school will have the following members:
  • two parent governors (elected by parents of pupils at the school)
  • one staff governor (elected by staff of the school)
  • head teacher governor (ex-officio)
  • one trust governor who is Principal Officiating Minister of the Parish of Christ Church, Walker (ex-officio)
  • one trust governor who is appointed by the Trust, nominated by PCC of Christ Church, Walker and approved by NDEB
  • one trust governor who is appointed by the Trust, nominated by PCC of St Anthony of Egypt and approved by NDEB
  • four governors appointed by the Trust, approved by NDEB
  • two co-opted members 
 
With the exception of the headteacher, all local governors are volunteers although they may claim expenses under certain circumstances.
 
We publish profiles of each of our local governors.
 
The terms of office of all governors are four years, except:
  • any co-opted governors where the terms of office is one year
  • ex-officio appointments which are based on the person holding a particular office and continue as long as the person remains in post.
