Keeping your personal data safe - Data Protection Act 2018
As you may already be aware, the above legislation (also known as the General Data Protection Regulation, or GDPR) came into force on 25 May 2018. Its aim is to:
strengthen people’s rights over their personal information; and
make organisations more accountable for the personal information they process.
Newcastle East mixed multi Academy Trust (NEAT) is the data controller for all five schools within our trust. Privacy notices are the information we provide to people about how and why we process their personal data.
Our privacy notice for personal data held about pupils and their parents/carers is published on the NEAT website:
Please read the Privacy Notice and let us know if you have any queries by emailing the trust at email@example.com
We may provide additional privacy notices from time to time when you need more specific information about how personal data will be processed e.g. school trips, projects.
NEAT carried out a public consultation on proposed changes to the admissions arrangements for 2020-21 for its schools between Monday 5 November and Sunday 16 December 2018. Only one response to the consultation was received, from Newcastle City Council, which supported the proposed changes.
The Trust Board approved the proposed admissions arrangements for 2020-21 at the board meeting held on Wednesday 19 December 2018.
The agreed policy is published on the school website.
